You might be a spoonie if this has happened to you:
I used to keep all my medicine in one place, because that seems like a good idea. One morning, I woke up, had breakfast, and took my vitamin as usual. Except that I didn’t. I looked down and saw the vitamin bottle sitting on the table. Oh Lord, what was in my hand?
A bottle of narcotics.
Work that day was interesting. Luckily this was back when I was taking the bus so I didn’t have to drive.
So now my vitamins are definitely not anywhere near where my narcotics are, and all of my different pills have a specific place to live.
Ever have one of those days? Give us all a dose of schadenfreude in the comments.
WE DON’T TAKE ANY CHEMICAL DRUGS OF ANY KIND– FOR ANY REASON EVER– ONLY NATURAL SUPPLEMENTS & VITAMINS & WHAT WE EAT & DRINK— AS SUPPLEMENTS!!! SO NO CHANGE OF EVER GETTING THE WRONG THING-
Ha well that’s good!
A bottle of chemical drugs that I hate the most 😔 though it is prescribed by the neurologist.
Yeah it’s tough.
I accidentally took a muscle relaxer one morning. Needless to say, that was a lazy day for me!
Haha sounds familiar. Yeah, it’s like, illness already gives us so many lazy days, I don’t need any more “surprise” lazy days thanks! lol
as someone who has worked in the medical field this has not happened to me yet. we are a bit obsessive about such things. i used to worry constantly though about my grandmother. we did finally come up with a system to keep her from making any error but i know this is a common problem. you don’t have to be a spoonie for it to happen:)
i am so glad that you are safe and have found a way around this problem. in sharing this you will help others realize that it is nothing to be ashamed of and it happens even to young bright girls like you not just old fading women like me:)
Hahaha aww thanks very much! I hope it does help people – like I said, it seemed convenient to just keep everything in one place. It’s probably different for everyone but me, I’m not a morning person and I’m on auto-pilot until about noon. Morning me needs extra guidance haha.

I’m like you–my Rx are in one plastic tray and all my vitamins are in another. Keeps the confusion down.
