Well, this is it! Our 100th post!
And we’re going to celebrate with a LIVE (!) event!
Now, the idea I told you about before isn’t exactly what we’re going to do because it was confusing to the hospital people and they had more important things to do than have it re-explained, so let it be known that we are not (!) doing this in affiliation with Medical City Dallas.
I’m loving this new (!) thing I see people writing everywhere. I also like the new go right MEOW! trend. Oh internet. You’re so silly.
Anyway. Here’s the goods:
The First Official Do I Look Sick Live Event!
Location: On the South side of the hospital, outside of buildings B and C, at the patient drop off and pick up area.
Date: Saturday July 13th
Time: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
We’ll meet outside the parking garage at a bench between buildings B and C. You’ll probably be able to see us, since we’ll have a ton of balloons on sticks! 😀
The plan is to meander about and hand out these balloons that say encouraging things like “Smile!” and “Believe in yourself!” And if people want to chat, we’d love to chat, but other than that we’re just handing out balloons and spreading the love. Kids and adults, but mostly adults because they don’t usually get this kind of special treatment.
Please please PLEASE let me know if you want to join us so that I can get you my cell number if you need help getting there or anything like that! You can leave a comment here, contact me via facebook (linked in the footer at the bottom of this page), or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
NOTICE: If you want to park at the hospital, it does cost money! And it’s based on the time you leave your car there. There’s also parking meters on the street nearby, and there are some restaurants and such where I’m sure you could park, but you will have a bit of a trek! And if money is a big issue (and I know it is sometimes,) I will personally pay for your parking.
I’ll be there with my hubby and one of my bestest friends, but it would mean a lot to me (and all the people who have to go to the doctor on Saturday, poor dears) if more people showed up to help. You by no means have to stay the whole time, and even just stopping by to say hi and wish us well would make my heart very happy.
I wanted to do something really special for this 100th post, and hopefully soon you’ll be seeing a post about what a great success it was! If you’re in Dallas, please consider sparing a small bit of your time for this very worthy cause.
Hope to see you all then!
