Everything is great, everything is grand

I’ve got the whole wide world in the palm of my hand!

Well, maybe not. I’ve had an exceptionally hard week pain-wise. I don’t know what I did wrong, but endometriosis is PISSED. I’ve been coming to terms with the reality that something’s gotta give. I’m taking vicodin a lot more often than I’d like, and I can tell that not all is well in digestive land either. On top of all this, my husband is still working part time, even though he was supposed to switch to full time after graduation. This isn’t all his fault, but I’m still feeling the pressure of being a bread winner during a flare – can’t miss work, thus the pain, thus the vicodin, and it goes on and on and on.

The bright side was that I loved my job. I loved all the new people I worked with, I loved what I was doing, and I loved being in Dallas (even if I’ve only been here a month and I’ve already met the SWAT team….but that’s a story for another day. For now, I’m just going to say that’s big city life for ya!), so even though times were hard, I was happy.

Well, now I’m even happier! Because this morning, after only working for a little over a month, I’m being moved into the department I want to be in. I’m officially starting my career – I’ll be cutting commercials for national television. I’m going to be an editor!

So I’m just posting because I’m happy. And I wanted to remind you about the FREE GIVEAWAY going on – just comment on my last post and I’ll be drawing a random winner and sending them a sweet Do I Look Sick button! You only have until June 9th to enter, so be quick like a bunny!

I also wanted to send a shout out to The Allergista for sending me the cutest little pill box, which is not only something I REALLY needed, but it’s also ADORABLE. She was kind enough to send 2, and I haven’t decided if I should keep both or include the second in an upcoming giveaway or contest? What do you guys think? 😉

I hope you all have a wonderful, happy wenesday! All the pictures in this post are pinned to my board “Smiles for Sick Days” on the Official Do I Look Sick Pinterest, which you should all follow. And while I’m doing a little shameless plugging, check out the Official Do I Look Store!

And have an awesome day.

Your quickness was very bunny-like, and it paid off too! 😉

  2. Sorry for the endo flare-up. However it is wonderful news about your job. I spent a lot of time in Dallas (a few months in 2002, most of 2003, and a few months in 2005). The downside is I didn’t get to see much other than the Environmental Health Center.
